Den Helder
The Den Helder project is the first green gas plant in the province of Noord-Holland for Nature Energy. The project in Den Helder plans to use 450k tonnes of feedstock, of which 70% will come from agricultural sources and the remaining 30% from the agri-food industry.
Why Den Helder?
The energy transition affects every region in the Netherlands, including Den Helder. Generating a sustainable energy supply can be done in different ways and different places in the Netherlands. At the industrial site 't Kooypunt, land is available to contribute to the realisation of the energy transition in this region. This region offers many opportunities due to the presence of agricultural entrepreneurs. Because ultimately, their waste can be valuable for our sustainable energy supply.
