Coevorden

In Coevorden, Nature Energy plans to develop its first green gas plant in the province of Drenthe. We will do this in cooperation with agricultural entrepreneurs, local community and local authorities. Together, we hope to move forward in the realization of the energy transition.

Why Coevorden?

Bringing the energy transition to the next level, that is what we hope to also achieve in Coevorden. Unfortunately, not all homes and buildings in the Netherlands can be heated with green electricity. (Green) gas will remain necessary for the foreseeable future. To contribute to this energy transition, we are therefore developing a green alternative: green gas. The green gas is produced by using the organic waste from agricultural businesses.

In Coevorden, there are options to develop a green gas plant close to the available organic waste of agricultural entrepreneurs. It may not be visible at the moment, but we hope to contribute to the production of green gas in the region by reclaiming the organic waste of agricultural entrepreneurs. Because ultimately, their waste is valuable for a more sustainable energy supply.
